Stevson Motors supplies brake pipe unions and fittings for classic and vintage vehicle braking systems. Our range includes male and female pipe fittings, three-way and four-way unions, brake pipe connectors and bleed screws in UNF, BSF and metric sizes.

Brake Pipe Fittings for Classic and Vintage Cars
Brake pipe fittings connect rigid pipework to components such as master cylinders, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and distribution unions.
Although many brake fittings look similar, differences in thread diameter, pitch, bore, flare arrangement and male or female configuration mean that they are not automatically interchangeable.

UNF Brake Pipe Fittings
Our UNF range includes male and female fittings in several configurations.
Available products include 3/8″ UNF fittings in brass and steel, as well as 7/16″ UNF fittings for selected 3/16″ and 1/4″ pipe applications.

When replacing an existing fitting, confirm the thread size, thread pitch, pipe diameter and sealing arrangement before ordering.
Metric Brake Pipe Fittings
Stevson Motors stocks male and female M10 × 1 metric brake pipe fittings in brass and steel.
The range also includes a 12 × 1 metric male fitting in steel and an M10 × 1 three-way brake union in brass.
A metric fitting should never be assumed to be correct because it appears close in size to an imperial fitting. The thread specification and flare type must match the component into which it is fitted.
BSF Brake Pipe Fittings
BSF threads can be found on a range of older British vehicles. We stock 3/8″ BSF male brake pipe fittings in both brass and steel.
UNF and BSF fittings may appear similar, but they use different thread forms. Confirm the original specification using suitable technical information or accurate measurements before ordering a replacement.
Three-Way and Four-Way Brake Unions
Multi-way brake unions divide or connect sections of brake pipe at a central point in the system.
Our range includes:
- 3/8″ UNF three-way brake unions in brass
- 3/8″ UNF four-way brake unions in brass
- M10 × 1 metric three-way brake unions in brass
The number of outlets alone is not enough to identify the correct union. Thread type, port configuration, mounting arrangement and vehicle application must also be checked.
Brake Pipe Connectors
Brake pipe connectors are available for joining compatible sections of pipework.
Stevson Motors stocks several male-to-male configurations, including equal-thread connectors and fittings that adapt between selected UNF sizes.
A connector must be suitable for the pipe, thread and flare arrangement on both sides. If either side differs, record the complete specification for each connection before choosing a part.
Brake Bleed Screws
Our brake-fitting range includes short and long 3/8″ UNF bleed screws in steel.
The correct bleed screw must match the thread and seating arrangement of the brake component. If the original screw is available, retain it for measurement and comparison.
Brass and Steel Brake Unions
Selected Stevson Motors brake fittings are available in solid brass, steel or a choice of both.
The appropriate material depends on the specific fitting and application. Material should not be selected in isolation: thread, dimensions, bore, flare type and compatibility with the surrounding components are equally important.
Our fittings are produced for accurate fitment, including applications where components need to correspond with original classic and vintage vehicle specifications.
How to Identify the Correct Brake Union
Before ordering, establish as many of the following details as possible:
- Vehicle make, model and year
- Location of the fitting
- Male or female connection
- Thread diameter
- Thread pitch
- UNF, BSF or metric thread
- Brake pipe outside diameter
- Flare and seating type
- Number and position of ports
- Original material
- Short or long fitting profile
Do not force an unidentified fitting into a brake component to test whether it matches. An incorrect thread can damage the component without providing a safe seal.
